Hi! My name is Sheri Helvey and I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and thank you for taking the time to visit. I am an entrepreneur who is passionate about helping others achieve the life they deserve, but just as important, I am an ordinary person looking to achieve an incredible lifestyle, probably no different than what you are looking for. I look forward to sharing a wealth of information that I have learned through my journey and help take you to the next level in your marketing endeavors and take you one step closer to living your dreams. You will find information about starting a home business, mindset and personal development, and Internet marketing including tips and tricks to set yourself apart from others in this crazy “online” world!!!
My intention for this blog is to encourage and inspire you to take your destiny into your own hands, and to create the lifestyle that you absolutely deserve by empowering yourself to create a life of prosperity, abundance and freedom!
A little about me . . .
I am happily married, the mother of two wonderful boys, 21 and 18 and live in beautiful Colorado. We have two incredible labs, Rowin and Jesse, and one interesting cat, Percy (yes, my 21 year old son named all of our cats after “Thomas the Tank Engine” when he was 3). I dearly love animals and probably should be living on a farm! In fact, you will most likely see a picture of Rowin and me around the Internet (Jesse doesn’t like cameras as much!!!). I love the outdoors and am in heaven when I am out on the golf course trying to hit that little white ball — some may think I’m crazy!!! I also love to read, especially personal development books.
I am passionate about helping “special needs” individuals and am a Host Home Provider for Special Needs. We currently care for two incredible individuals who live with us and I love every minute of it!!! They are part of our family and it is an extremely rewarding experience… one that is beyond words – it must be experienced to understand.
I grew up in the Rocky Mountains, graduated college in 1982 with a business degree, and worked in the “Corporate Arena” for many years before venturing into Network Marketing. In 1998, I realized the power of the business model of Network Marketing and the importance of leveraging my time and have been in the industry ever since.
So . . . into the world of Network Marketing I went . . .
I ventured into my very first network marketing company, knowing without a shadow of a doubt, that this was my home forever….I would never leave it and this would create the life of my dreams….hmmmmmmm …. ok, so it didn’t do all of that – I had some success, but certainly not what I was looking for! Was it the company? Maybe it was the product! Oh no, it must have been my sponsor!!! Sound familiar? I think we all go through those feelings, but an “ah ha” moment happened when I immersed myself into the world of “personal development”. Now you may be thinking this is all “fluff and stuff”, but I will tell you from experience, you MUST have the right mindset to get what you are looking for in life. So now I realized it was ME and ONLY ME who was responsible for my success, my destiny, my life. You know…. “if it’s gonna be, it’s up to me”!!! I did finally end up having four and five figure months which was great …
But equally important, I discovered my “WHY” . . .
Have you ever had anyone in this industry ask you what your “why” was? I sure did, and I was quick to answer that “I wanted to make money, I wanted a new house, oh yes, and a brand new car and boat, and, OH, of course, I wanted to have all of by bills paid and get out of debt, and that oh so beautiful cabin in the mountains”!!! I was so excited that I knew what my “why” was. Well, needless to say, I was stopped in my tracks! My mentor said to me, “No, Sheri, I mean once you have all that “STUFF”, then what do you want to do?” You know what? I had no idea. She then asked us to take a walk on her ranch with a partner in complete silence and think about it. That’s when it came to me……I wanted to open up a lodge here in the Rocky Mountains for Special Needs people and animals who needed to be adopted out to loving homes! I was so excited!!! I had my true “why” and I have named my lodge, “Escape to Wilderness”.
It is my “WHY” that has kept me focused on achieving success . . .
So, now I had my “why”…. Did I have immediate success? Absolutely not! I worked and worked and worked and learned and learned and learned….I was like a sponge, attending every class I could, purchasing every course that flew across my desk. My head was spinning from the information and quite honestly, I was in “information overload”. It seems like I joined every program that some “guru” introduced to me. But I have never questioned network marketing in my mind….I knew in my heart that this is the industry that was going to lead me to my dreams….it certainly wasn’t going happen by climbing the “corporate ladder”!!!
So, I kept focused and always remained persistent and consistent . . .
I found another wonderful mentor who has given me a wealth of information about creating freedom online. You see, this is what I wanted to do is “be myself” and offer value, but in my early days of network marketing, we were taught to be “business like” . . . are you “in” or are you “out” – WOW!!! That just seemed so cold to me and quite frankly, I hated that style of marketing. So when all of this “attraction” marketing started to surface, it was absolutely refreshing to me that this was the way internet marketing was headed. Being able to offer value to others and cultivating relationships! I learned as much as I could about this “relationship” marketing stuff and I am still learning and always will…
And here I am today . . .
In a position to help others Learn Internet marketing, Build a list or tribe of followers, Cultivate those relationships, Generate an income and Celebrate life! I love to help others and it is my hope that today I offer you a nugget, an “ah ha” moment or some kind of value that you will take action on so that you will be one step closer to achieving your dreams.
